I would sure like to hear more. Tell us which finishing system you used, final weight, engine, fuel quantity, etc, etc. I want to live vicariously through you and keep this great moment alive a little longer.
Congratulations again

Have not flown - doing FAA paperwork and inspection
0360 lyc with Throttle body 180 hp
1250 lbs empty weight
aluminum spars and ribs note used Carlson spars and laser cut ribs
aluminum belly 3/4 way to tail
aluminum sides at front pit
Poly fiber covering
Aerothane custom mixed grey
Areothane Tn Red accent
Mahogony wood on interior
Black Leather Seats
Black Leather combing
White interior
Landing gear fabric covered
Center of gravity Forward 1.8" LE
Center of gravity Rearward 2.7" LE
Max Gross Weight 1800 lbs (gathered from Dennis Simmons)
Fuel 22 gals in wing
Fuel 8 gals in header
Icon radio
Bendix transponder
Garmin portable GPS
20 rolls 3M fine line tape. Tons of blue tape and truck loads of brown paper. Note if a builder is going the accent route with paint. I have learned a lot of good info and tips on using fine line tape. If interested, I will write a post.
Thanks for all the kind complements.
It is hard to believe it took 9 years
I worked on it every wed and every week end. In 9 years I probably only missed 3 or 4 week ends.
The plane hass been at a private air park for the last 5 years. i have had the benefit of 2 good IA's
and Stearman restorers.

Thanks for posting that info. Awesome job. It would be nice to see your "Fine Line tape tricks". I am also interested in the header tank. I know a couple of guys have done that and I think it is a neat and viable mod. I would be interested in more info on that. Pictures? I know I am asking for your time (takes time to post all this) and I appreciate your taking the time to help me and others with the info. I sure hope to see it at a fly-in someday.
